Lor'Themar keeps his past a secret due to some major trust issues. Being the youngest son of the...former...king of the island of elves, he grew up knowing there was no way for him to become king, so he took a different route. His father had him educated by several of his advisors and he grew quickly in knowledge and wisdom, as well as stature. He chose to join the military and rose through the ranks.
In the military, he joined the special operations equivalent and led the group for many years before a major catastrophic event happened in his life. His father passed in his sleep, which wouldn't normally have set off any alarms. His chief advisor forcefully took the throne and Lor'Themar had his suspicions. The newly appointed "Tyrant" caught word of his suspicion and put a bounty out for his head.
With the help of his comrades, he narrowly escaped capture and vowed to return when he found a way to end the tyranny that his people are under.
